WHAT IS APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS

Applied behavior analysis is a well-established field that addresses social issues. The procedures and programs involve careful examination and understanding of individuals’ concerns and their situation, planning programs that will best fit the person and help improve his/her skills.
For example, managing study time, decreasing aggression, self-injurious behaviours, improving social communication, expressing one's needs, increasing self help skills, self-monitoring and management.
ABA explicitly works on transferring and maintaining the learned skills from one situation to another, with different people and setups.
